FAQs

What is counselling, and how can it help me?
Counselling is a collaborative process where you work with a trained professional to address emotional, mental, or behavioral challenges.

It can help you gain insight, develop coping strategies, and make positive changes in your life.
Counselling can benefit anyone dealing with stress, emotional difficulties, life transitions, or personal growth goals.

If you're experiencing challenges that affect your well-being or daily life, counselling may be a helpful resource.

How long does a counselling session typically last, and how many sessions will I need?
Sessions typically last around 60 minutes. The number of sessions varies depending on your goals and needs. We'll discuss this during our initial consultation and adjust as needed.

What should I expect during my first counselling session?
During your first session, we'll discuss your goals, concerns, explore your background and discuss the counselling process. It's an opportunity for us to get to know each other and establish a plan for your journey.

Where are your counselling services available?
We accept clients from Western provinces and territories, including Alberta, Ontario, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut. If you reside in one of these regions, you can access our counselling services online from the comfort of your own home.

Do you offer in-person counselling sessions?
We primarily offer remote counselling sessions for your convenience and comfort, ensuring you receive the support you need from the comfort of your own space. However, if you are located in or near Calgary and prefer in-person counselling, we are located at in the Evergreen Business Centre: 2101, 230 Eversyde Boulevard SW.

How much does counselling cost, and do you accept insurance?
We offer a free 20-minute consultation to ensure we are the right fit for each other. Each counselling session costs $200 for those with insurance and health benefits programs. A sliding scale is offered and affordable counselling rate available to those who need it.
We can direct bill for certain insurance companies, and we can provide you with a receipt for possible reimbursement through your insurance provider.

What is your payment method and cancellation policy?
